Convened by the Agile Initiative at the Oxford Martin School, this project has brought together over 35 experts from the University of Oxford with policy makers from 15 government departments and professionals in the climate, nature and national security space and beyond. 

The team have worked iteratively to rapidly develop a multi-disciplinary dialogue, co-creating key themes and critical questions to develop a forward-facing research agenda exploring urgent evidence needs and use in response to the climate and biosphere emergency, and its implications for UK national security.

Forward-Looking Research Agenda

This forward-looking research agenda is designed to be accessible, including almost 200 questions for future research, grouped across six themes, with cross-cutting sections on communication and over 50 priority policy intervention points. It also includes a conceptual framework, a baseline of current UK Government understanding and response, thematic reviews of policy questions and evidence gaps.

SUMMARIES OF KEY FINDINGS

The Priority Policy Questions series reports across six thematic areas and are the first phase of outputs. Each report responds to questions developed in close collaboration with stakeholders from 15+ policy organisations, including government departments, military services and statutory bodies.
