Has it come to this? An interactive workshop on power, justice, and CO₂ removal

Jun

Join us for an interactive workshop on carbon dioxide removal, exploring the social, political, and justice dimensions of this rapidly evolving climate response. Through a facilitated game, participants will step into roles—from activists to regulators to workers—to navigate the tradeoffs, tensions, and possibilities of land-based and industrial carbon removal projects. This workshop invites reflection on power, trust, and environmental equity while building shared understanding of carbon dioxide removal’s real-world stakes. No prior knowledge required. Meal and refreshments will be provided by Za’atar Bake.
The workshop is in-person and will take place in the Diversity Room at the School of Geography and the Environment.
Organised by DPhil Candidate Aissa Dearing with support from the Agile Initiative.
