The Agile Initiative welcomes Expressions of Interest for new Sprint research projects from Oxford University researchers.

This week, we launched a new call for policy-led Agile Sprints. This represents a key milestone in the Agile Initiative’s process of experimentation in developing novel ways of doing and enabling the impact of applied environmental policy relevant research. Here, we share some of the thinking and activity that has gone on behind-the-scenes.

On 22 November 2023 the Agile Initiative ran a day-long event to showcase its approach to conducting rapid, high-quality, policy-focused interdisciplinary research, and generate debate around addressing challenges and emerging trends in the UK and globally that will influence this form of research.

The Scottish Government have awarded follow-on funding to explore the potential to deliver multiple goods and services from the Scottish landscape, to meet the need for sustainably produced food, timber, energy and water, helping to achieve net zero and prevent further biodiversity loss.

At the NERC Awards ceremony on 29th November 2023, Dr Sophus zu Ermgassen was announced the winner of the Early Career Impact award.
